Warm Pear & Burrata Salad
We love a good salad for lunch, but we don’t always have time to prepare a salad that gets us excited. And ordering from a delivery app costs an arm and a leg, especially when you can make your own at home for a fraction of the cost. This Warm pear & burrata salad is restaurant quality and comes together in less than 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 Del Monte 398 ml canned pears
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) butter
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) lemon juice
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
- 5 ml (1 tsp) honey
- 500-750 ml (2-3 cups) baby arugula
- ½ ball of Burrata
- 2 handfuls of pecan halves
-
Salt & black pepper to taste
Preparation
- Drain liquid from canned pears and use paper towel to absorb as much liquid from the pears as possible. Cut pears into cubes.
- Add butter to a saucepan over medium heat. Allow butter to melt and start to brown. Add pears and saute for a couple minutes, ensuring they brown on all sides.
- In the meantime, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, honey, a pinch of salt and a bit of cracked black pepper at the bottom of a bowl until emulsified. Add arugula and mix, coating evenly. Transfer arugula to a salad plate. Top with Burrata. Top with roasted pears and drizzle with remaining brown butter.
- Garnish with pecans and a sprinkle of Maldon salt. Enjoy!
