Sliced Pears in light syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 can (398 ml) Del Monte sliced pears in light syrup, keep the syrup aside
  • 2 bottles of 750 ml orange wine
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) maple syrup
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) Triple Sec type orange liqueur
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 250 ml (1 cup) frozen cranberries
  • 4 graines de cardamome
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary
  • Club soda, to taste

Preparation

  1. Drain the pears, reserving 330 ml (1 1/3 cup) of syrup. Cut the pears into cubes.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine all the ingredients except the club soda.
  3. Leave to macerate in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight for even more flavor.
  4. Serve with ice cubes and top with club soda to taste.
